Dan Hastings started playing disc golf in 2007 at age 14. Disc golf has been an influential part of life and eventually brought him to North Carolina where he is best know for his “Best Day Ever”, averaging 1102 in back to back rounds at UNC Chapel Hill. Dan has played in over 250 events and has tallied over 70 PDGA wins in that time. You will find Dan primarily playing throughout the southeast and hosting multiple tournaments and clinics throughout the year. Dan argues that he is a better teacher than he is player, and it may have to do with his every day job.
Dan started his career in education as a middle school math teacher. After receiving the 2018-2019 national Excellence in Teaching award, Dan moved into a role as a Curriculum and Instruction Specialist. Dan currently coaches teachers and leadership teams around effective math instruction.
Providing clinics and disc golf lessons allows Dan to combine his two passions, teaching and disc golf. Dan finds joy in helping both children and adults improve themselves by providing them with the tools and knowledge needed to take their game to the next level.
Dan currently has scheduling availability in both Colfax, NC and Charlotte, NC. Depending on which of those locations you would rather book, you can find both booking systems below.
